Hi all. I'm using avidemux to rip all my DVD's to x264/AC3 in mkv container.
1. I have searched all over and can't find a definitive answer about whether avidemux will create chapters from DVD. Does it?
2. After following numerous guides and experimenting myself, I'm happy with using the following filters (in order):
MPlayer resize
Crop
MSharpen
The only trouble is that the aspect ratio is wrong on my Philips BDP2700/12 Blu-Ray player. Rather than display as 2.35:1 it displays as 16:9 even though my LG BD370 displays just fine. Any ideas about fixing this?
Cheers.
p.s. Are there any other recommended filters/settings for using with DVD encoding?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

1. Thanks
2. No I'm not. The resolution after using above filters is 704 x 304. Do I need to resize to 2.35:1? As I said, one BluRay player plays fine. Can you point me in the right direction for a tutorial please?
Cheers
