I don't know if this is the right section to post this to, anyway: I use MPC and when I press S to activate subtitles (or when I do it any other way), the video freezes and won't resume again. I have Windows 7 so I use the EVR Custom Preset.
Actually I've already found a solution to this by simply switching to "VMR-9 (windowed)" (or "VMR-9 (renderless)"), but this way DXVA is disabled. How can I enable my internal subtitles without making my video freeze, yet using DXVA?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Is it using internal source filter? Or external?
Try it the other way. -

See this thread.. http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/mpc-hc/ticket/1582
seems to imply the problem is Haali splitter. Perhaps you could update it or replace it with something else. -
I reinstalled Haali, but the problem still occurs. I also noticed that it only occurs when the subtitles are disabled by default and I have to enable them, while, when they are enabled by default, I can easily switch them on and off.
Anyway, what do you mean by "something else"?
Thanks for your time. -
See this post - some alternatives to try are mentioned.
