I'll try to be specific here, but if I miss anything just let me know.
It's a pretty simple question but I'm not sure what program to use. I've encoded XviD PAL DVD rips and I've ripped sub/idx files with VOBSUB Ripper Wizard for playback with the AVIs. But when I use a media player (tried VLC and MPC) to play back the video, there are more options for languages than are there. For example, one of the movies has English, Swedish, and Icelandic subtitles, which work fine except that when I go to select a subtitle stream it shows 9 streams:
English, Swedish, Icelandic, English, Swedish, Icelandic, English, Swedish, and Icelandic. The first three work, but the last six don't. Is there a tool I can use to remove these streams from the sub/idx so that it is cleaner?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

VobSubStrip

It's slightly unintuitive (to me anyway). When it asks for the languages to strip, it's asking which languages you want to keep.Last edited by manono; 3rd Nov 2012 at 16:49.
