Ok just got this steal of a deal ($99.50 delivered) on the new vado hd 3rd generation. trouble is my vegas studio 6 platinum software is recognizing the audio but not the video. so I either convert the video or I put it back in the box and shove it under the bed. I like it and I want to use it...I have the older version vado hd as well and it's a different file type which works fine with my vegas but they changed apparently to MP4 now (why????).

anyway I installed the vado codec and the "file reader" but still no go. what can i do? this has to be a simple fix. I already have the klite mega pak on my computer plus the ffd show pack as well. help!

Give us a link to your "vado hd 3rd generation" whatever that is. I know what it is but you do the work to find the codec specs (some kind of h.264). Obviously Vegas doesn't support the video codec.

    Not on Vegas supported list.

May not work. Vegas wants AVCHD.
