Hello,
I try to undertsnad the meaning of max reference number.
I have a raw H.264 video in which this number is 2 but I see no B-frames in it:

Does anyone knows what's the meaning of this reference number?

Yes, that's what I meant. Thanks.
The strange thing is that in the h.264 analyzer I see 2 parameters:
DPB Size=13
Max Ref Frame Number=2
While the wiki link shows only definition for "ref" : Controls the size of the DPB (Decoded Picture Buffer).
