I want to capture some video from my Xbox 360 using one of those Dazzle capture cards, but I think you have to have a "tv/video out" signal from your TV right?
Does anyone have any ideas if I can work around this?
I have a Westinghouse 32" LCD.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Actually, I think my tv is considered a "monitor". It doesn't have a built in tuner even though it is HDTV.

If S-Video you would need one of these.

I connect the Xbox to the TV using component video cables.

Then get one of these.

And an ADS Pyro 480i analog component to DV (Firewire) transcoder.

Or one of the HAVA products that will take component 1080i or 720p in and downscale to 480i for recording to disk.

Doesn't the Xbox 360 have a composite or s-video output? Does it output to both component and to one of those at the same time? If so, you don't need a video output from your TV or a component video splitter. Just leave the component video running to the TV and run composite or s-video to the Dazzle.
If you want high definition captures you will need a high def component capture card like the Hauppauge HD PVR (hardware h.264, includes passthrough to TV) or BlackMagic Intensity Pro. -
You guys were right, I need a video distribution amp.
