I've got a bunch of flac files that have internal tags; I need to make MP3 to use on my player.

Is there a (free) utility that can do this and copy the flac tags to MP3 ID3 as well?

-- I can just convert the audio easily enough several ways.

    edit:
    found dBPowerAmp can do this.

Did not know that. I'd been using WinAmp so long I dropped the fifteen bucks and went Pro.

PS you could use the LAME out plug-in...

I used to use WinAmp about 10 years ago, gave it up as it got more and more bloated.

How the hell they could think MP3 encoding is a premium feature I don't know.
