HI
as the topic states I have a laptop and the only out is VGA. on my TV I ave scart, s video, rgb in.

I tried to get my laptop on my pc by using a VGA to TV Converter S-Video & RCA Out Cable Adapter (4 Converter)

then RCA cable from that to my TV. This did not work. I also tried putting the RCA into a scart convertor into the scart on my tv but no luck.

I was thinking about using vga to s video then s video cable into my tv but read that s video quality is pretty poor.

I have the sound from my laptop into my tv using a 3.5mm Jack to 2x RCA Phono Cable.that was so simple, if only all things could be!

I know my laptop can work on a tv as my sisters tv has vga in, and a simple vga cable works just fine getting the image from my laptop to her tv.

anyone any suggestions what I need?
Theres alot of confusing information around about types of signal horizontal, vertical etc I dont really need to dig too deep into all that.
