    There are media players that allow to play a selected fragment of a file (for example, VLC can do this). Can MPC-HC do it? It has command-line parameters /start and /startpos, but I don't see how to specify the end position!!!

    I don't use command line. Have you tried the logical /stop and /stoppos ?

    And I seem to recall it has a start and stop associated with the repeat function, so those commands for that. Or it's only intended to choose the start and play and then continue to the end of the file.

    In any event, I've not used it that way.
