Hi. I'm trying to extract subpictures (highlights) from a DVD menu using SubRip. While previewing I can see all the highlights on several screens, but when SubRip saves it to .bmp I get only a plain red screen.
Current options in Suprip:
Check only VOB containing the menu(s)
Save subpictures as .BMP
+ TC & Res: unchecked
Colors: 4 bits - Sonic Scenarist
Cropping: size constraints 720x576, alignment center
Thanks in advance.

It's working for me. It may be that there is only one color, and the button shapes are defining how they look on the screen.
If it's not working for you you might also try DVDSubEdit to save the BMPs. Open the VOB for the menu followed by 'Save current subpic as a BMP'. Move the slider and then save the next BMP. If you get a single color, then switch from the default 'Use IFO CLUT' to 'Use automatic CLUT' and try again. Below is what I see using SubRip: -
Your setting is OK.
Once the window open you have to save .BMP, than on next window, click on Profiles and there you can save each subpicture or skip to next one
