I want to take the highlights of several different dvds and combine them into one file to burn to a dvd.

How do I do this and what is the preferred software?

    Thanks

    Using free software
Use dvd shrink in the reauthoring mode to cut out clips and make new dvd from the dvd using dvd shrink again(no dvd menus though) or free authoring tools like guifordvdauthor. See https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=198813

    Using commercial software
Use videoredo to cut out clips from vobs and author with dvd-lab or other authoring apps.
Use tmpgenc authoring works to both cut out clips and make a new dvd.
Use mpeg video wizard dvd to both both cut out clops and a make a new dvd

Or use a mix of the above....

And remember that you can't mix PAL and NTSC on same DVD-Video...but if you just make a data disc with video it wont matter.
