MS Word, since one of Bill's minions kindly sent me a promotional copy. I like promo copies. Otherwise, it would be Open Office.

You forgot to mention LibreOffice. -

Generally other. I don't do much typing at home. I still have an old copy of office (cant' remember the edition) and haven't upgraded since I don't use it much.
Other than that I'd use wordpad or openoffice if I needed something more current.Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
Shouldn't LibreOffice and other forks of OpenOffice be listed on the same line, considering they are basically just forks of OpenOffice? Just curious.
Well, for me... (assuming I'm not supposed to include plaintext editors )
OpenOffice on all my systems (including my Linux and Mac systems). If I'm on my older Win98 systems, possibly the older versions of MS Word I have installed on those. For my Mac, I'll also use Bean.
I won't use AbiWord, though. That usually behaves rather oddly no matter what system/OS on which I try it.If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them? -
Big fan of OpenOffice for some years now.
I also use Notepad quite a bit, not for word-processy type things but for quick notes and attachments.

MS Word. It works best for formatting my books for upload to Smashwords and it's easy to import to Mobipocket for conversion to upload to AmazonKDP. It also works for pre-formatting my print editions.

I alternate between Open Office, and MS Word 2000 (which actually runs better than you might think on Vista and Seven). Notepad for light word processing needs, eg. taking notes or something.

Used to have OpenOffice / LibreOffice. My girlfriend got a student-license copy of MS Office 2010 Pro Plus for a really low price. Using this now.
