Warning - pop ups gone wild at that website, rendering it almost unusable. I don't have add ons on my browser, so maybe with the right one it blocks that crap, but it's just about useless for me and perhaps others.

DVDFab's list contains no 2013 movies and I think we're all pretty sure that there are more than zero 2013 titles that have it. Having zero titles from this year would not really meet my definition of "updated more regularly".

There are 2013 movies on the DVD Fab list. (29 Blu-ray titles and 1 DVD for 2013)

The way they made the tables can be confusing. The year labels are at the bottom of the related table. Labels normally go at the top, thus giving the appearance that there are no 2013 titles listed.

What does it mean if the title is marked by an *?
For the nth time, with the possible exception of certain Intel processors, I don't have/ever owned anything whose name starts with "i".

Thanks for the explanation. I suppose I could argue that if I can't figure it out on my own, their design is seriously broken.

Cinavia was originally developed with cam recordings in mind. Many theatrical soundtracks contain Cinavia.

Because cinavia is analogue it's happily indestructibly transcribed over to the cam recordings. Too bad for them bootleggers, right on the side of the kvetch for the rest of us videohelp.com folks...

I don't think I've downloaded any cam releases (except maybe one or two by accident) in the last 10 years.

  18. So if say Resident Evil Afterlife on blu-ray has cinavia, it's DVD counterpart will or will not have it? Couldn't you just rip the DVD audio and replace the blu-ray audio with that? Or is that just a pain to have to deal with?
    Quote Quote
  19. Sometimes the DVD will have Cinavia too. Or the cut of the movie may be slightly different making it harder to sync the DVD audio to the Blu-ray video.

I had no problem reading DVDFabs site for the list of cinavia protected movies and their release dates, And it can't be too confusing if I can read it.

This has already been discussed in our big Cinavia thread elsewhere. You just don't like the answers you are getting. Posting in this thread is not going to change the facts.

  25. I was able to pull (DVD FAB) list which is very comprehensive before their website went down. Would be nice for someone to re-post and keep live. List contains all movies with Cinavia protection from 2010-2014 Feb.

  26. Is that it?? Throughout the whole of the known universe there's only 156 Bluray/DVD releases containing Cinavia?

Cinavia is REALLY expensive to use. The fact that Sony and occasionally Warner Brothers use it just shows you exactly how nutso those companies are. Disney has used it ONCE. I think Fox has also used it ONCE. It also shows how all this uproar is a whole lot of "much ado about nothing" because if you can live without Sony releases, you've eliminated 95% or more of Cinavia right there. And yes, as you understand, the way people act here you'd think that every or almost every new BD release had it when in fact it's not common at all outside of Sony putting it on almost everything they put out. Even Warner Brothers limits what they put it on. Most of the titles that have it were very successful at the US box office, but a few films are in that WTH? category being stuff that nobody has ever heard of and almost nobody wants to watch let alone copy anyway.
