This is a test of the forum post system. This is only a test. Were this a real post, it wouldn't be a test.

Problem seems to be triggered if any dimension in the JPEG exceeds 600 pixels.

OK, but why does it happen with JPEGs only?

    Below is a 256-color PNG, re-compressed from the (not-so-)original 256-color PCX source.

    You're asking the wrong guy!

I think you're uploading them differently than Baldrick and I. Looks like you're using Upload Files at the bottom rather than the inline Upload Image at the top.

EDIT: Never knew that "A/A" in the top-right lets you see the code. The tag that brings up the WYSIWYG thumbnail is ATTACH=CONFIG. But now when I hit Save I'm back to the "Attachment text instead of image" problem.

Regular "Upload Image" that automatically turns into ATTACH.

    Manually edited to ATTACH=CONFIG.

I guess I know why vbulletin has changed to http://ckeditor.com/ in newer vbulletin versions.

This editor is buggy as hell.

ATTACH=CONFIG no longer brings up the WYSIWYG display. It did just a few days ago. At least according to my memory.

Yes, I can see how it looks but there is no way to turn an image into a thumbnail now when I want to add a post to a thread like this: https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/360704-2013-my-video-capture-device-comparison-screenshots

okey. I'm stupid. I can of course let you choose editor. You find it under the forum settings, https://forum.videohelp.com/profile.php?do=editoptions and choose Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing.

Thanks! It was on Standard. Looks like I still have to manually change ATTACH to ATTACH=CONFIG to change them to images from text.
