  1. hi

im not so newb so even if you have some advanced way that can help please share with me

i been trying to cute the parts that i dont want from movies but i dont find way to keep the subtitles with it

i tried mkvmerge GUI , is good but i have WD movie player so the movie should be on one part not many i need to join them

i tried also (SolveigMM AVI Trimmer + MKV) (SolveigMM Video Splitter Home Edition) they dont load the subtitles

i hop there a way to mix the subtitles on the movies so i can trim the movies without losing the quality on converting
and ofcouce the time every-movie take long time on converting

if you know any information please share it

Nope. If you must burn in / hardcode subtitles MUST you ALWAYS reconvert.

But doesn't the WD player support external srt subtitles? Or built in srt subtitles in a mkv?

If you are trying to cut parts, including the associated subtitles of the cuts, from a MKV file, you might want to read Baldrick's post about using MKVmerge.
    Code:

  4. @ Baldrick

    thank you for replaying me

    WD support srt

what i will do now is Convert the video on XviD4PSP 5 and keep the audio (on copy)

then i will use (SolveigMM AVI Trimmer) to cut the parts that i dont need from the movie

or maybe there is anther way which may save me the time on converting which edit the Subbtile , but im soo newb on that

    @ mail2tom

I have a rule that I wish other members here had. When a request is insane, I don't help the poster. This falls under that definition.

Why? The OP is probably spending more doing the edits than it would take to watch the entire video. THAT makes it insane.

it worth the editing time , i have a large movies size , 10-20 gb , with 5.1 dts sound , i dont want to lose the quality
i have some people in different ages watch with me i have to cut the embarrassing parts lol

the English language is not my native ....right now i trying to understand how to edit the subtitles

nothings is hard if you keep trying i guess ......
i really want that way without converting the video

  8. If you have a MKV file also containing SRT subtitles you can use AVI-Mux GUI to create clips without re-encoding and with subtitles in sync. You can join the clips with MKVMergeGUI.

  10. I think folks who ask this really want to delete the "clean" parts and compile the dirty bits.

  13. i try you idea (videobruger) but it not work for me maybe i misunderstand or miss somethings but i found somethings new!

i successfully splits the videos but when i joined them in mkvmerge GUI (by additional parts ) the finish joind video act weird like a part in video without sound and part is before other part

but i found somethings new to try

i put the joined video on (XviD4PSP 5 ) and i chose the Copy mod (copy mod like muxing it is so fast and and it keep the video and audio like it is)

but the finished video by XviD4PSP 5 have no subtitles but the video is fixed by the way

so i will use the mkvmerge GUI again to switch between the old video and the one from XviD4PSP 5 so i can have the subtitle

i try it today but i cant say it totally work because AVIMux_GUI give me anther subtitle language and i need to test the video on WD

    So tomorrow then!

  14. now it working ! , i was chosing (additional parts) not the (append) to muxing in mkvmerge GUI

that was the problem , and on WD you should go to the Setting and turn on voice sync (it called on WD ces or sec not sure) or you will notict diffrent on voice and video

i see everythings is fine now the subbtile work great the video and there is no different on video and audio quality and the splitting and muxing are fast they dont take more then 12 mints!

i was need to do that , becouse i dont think WD can auto play parts like how the computer do , and if you have many movies and they are in parts that are annoying! , thanks Baldrick for the mkvmerge GUI splitting tutorials without you i be converting right now lol..and thanks for videobruger for the suggesting and the explain !
