  1. Greetings. Well, I can say I like VideoToVideo (http://www.videotovideo.org/) very much, but I don't understand... is its development discontinued? The current version was released in June 2013... is there anybody who knows whether they have any plans to update this software? Their site has no forum and no actual news...

I'm wondering if all of the many converters that rely on FFMPEG yield pretty much similar results ? I converted an rmvb clip that my WDTV Live would not play to .Wmv, using V2V, which process made the file about 150K larger, and the WMV version still would not play. I intend to repeat such experiments with other video files, and other converters, but I wouldn't be too surprised if this is unavailing.

On the other hand, if one uses AVStoDVD or ConvertXtoDVD, the result is DVD-standard MPG, and that is pretty much guaranteed to play, on your streaming player -- pick one -- or any DVD or BR player. So that becomes an effective last resort.
When in Las Vegas, don't miss the Pinball Hall of Fame Museum http://www.pinballmuseum.org/ -- with over 150 tables from 6+ decades of this quintessentially American art form.
