    Dear friends :

I have a DVD Writer SAMSUNG DL DVD+-R/RW WRITER - MODEL : TS-H552B/WRBH that functions very well from one year ago.

The problem I have, is that I can watch the DVDs recorded by this Writer only in some DVD Players Panasonic and others type, like those of low cost. In others players like Pioneers, Sony, etc. I receive the message "No Disc". Friends of mine, who burn with others writers (and may be with other software), make DVDs that can be watched in all DVD players.

As I have a DVD Player Panasonic S29, I have not problem but can not burn DVD for others.

With the different software I used to burn, have the same problem. They are :
    - IntervideoDVD Copy 2
    - DVD Decrypter
    - DVD Shrink

I don´t know where is the problem and how to fix.

¿ Can you help me ?

I really would appreciate very much your help

May be the media you use. Or how you create your DVDs. You really haven't given much info on your process (from what you start with, and your steps up to the final DVD).

Are you finalizing the DVDs before you give them to your friends? It would be a problem if you aren't do that.

As Mats stated, you may be using bad media. You might want to look at
    http://www.nomorecoasters.com
for information on DVD media quality. We usually recommend only Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden.

Thank you very much for your quick answers.

    1) The media I normally use is Verbatim

    2) I create my DVDs as follows :

    - Author with Encore DVD 1.5 or TMPGEncDVDAUthor1.6 from MPG Files (menus, chapters, etc)
    - Make DVD Folder in HD in order to check it
    - Burn to DVD Disc with IntervideoDVDCopy 2 (sometimes with DVD Decrypter / DVD Shrink)

    3) I don´t understand the question of jman98 related to finalizar the DVDs. I suppose it is done by the burning
software mentioned above. If it is necessary to do something else in order to finalizar the DVDs, I do nothing, but
remember that I watch its without any problem in my Panasonic DVD player.

Thank you very much for your help. I wait for your comments.

    The best for you

Try burning one with the burning engine included with TDA 1.6. If that one works, you know it's intervideo DVDCopy 2 causing the problem.

I made the mistake of writing a disc with DVDFab Platinum, and it wouldn't play in anything.

I've yet to have a playback problem with TDA or any version (now at 3.0)

DVDShrink doesn't burn at all, so that's out of the question.
Like previously stated, let TDA burn, or burn with ImgBurn.

Some players (especially older ones) are very picky when it comes to recordable discs. Some players don't play recordable discs at all.

    Thanks for the answers.

I´m going to make some different burning with TDA and DVDDecrypter at different speeds and hope to be back soon.

Thanks again and Happy New Year

  9. Yeah, start writing a disc at 4x and see if it works. If it does, then you can speed it up incrementally (6x, 8x).
