How do you add subtitles without it starting automatically using winavi???

i burned a movie using winavi and added subtitles, now everything went good, but my dad don't like it 'cause the subtitles start automatically and he has to turn it off...my question is how do you add subtitles without it starting automatically???

I doubt we have that many winavi users here. I think you can change it after you authored with pgcedit but I have never tried it(see http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=45440 )

But I would try author with something else like the free avs2dvd or if it's too complex try convertxtodvd. Both supports switchable subtitles.

i like winavi 'cause it only takes about 20 minutes with avi and about 40 minutes for other video types....but I'll try and see what happens....i don't like avs2dvd, but I'm going to download convertxtodvd right now....thanks for the help though
