  1. Hi,

I recently upgraded my VLC to Version 2.1.2. Since then I'm having problems playing MP4 video files. When I paly the file I get the audio but no video, only a black screen. The problem doesn't seem to happen with all MP4s but it does with most of them.

I've tried reverting versions of VLC, but the problem is still there.

I'm using VLC version 2.1.2 on Windows 7 Home 64 bit.

    Here are my messages:

Yes. The videos play fine in DivX Player. I haven't tested all of them, but all the ones I have tested also play fine in Windows Media Player.

    Thanks for the reply,
