  1. Hi everyone,

I'm trying to save the following clips to my hard disk. I can get them to play in my media player but each time I try saving it (disabling association in media player for .wmv files), I get an error saying the site is not available. Is there a way to save these files.

The files are small (246 bytes) and when I try to open them the Windows media player opens up but gives me this message:

Windows Media Player cannot play the file because the server is not responding. If you entered a URL or path to play the file, verify that it is correct. If you clicked a link to play the file, the link may not be valid. when i do save as, it downloads the windows media playlist rather than the video file. im just wondering if there is a way to get the video file downloaded?

    Thanks.

The short answer is... It doesn't contain what you thought they contain. Those are streaming meta files, not actual WMV's. That first link gave me ads and 12:43 of footage, not 3x. See "how to capture streaming video" guides.
