  1. I have a HD-file in AVI-format (very large) of which I want to render to another HD-file and save for future use.
In Vegas 11 there are so many alternatives. I want to save in the best quality. Earlier I have used ”m2t” but is ”m2v” or ”m2ts” better? Or some other format?
    Is 50p better then 50i?

Best quality would be uncompressed or lossless compression (e.g. lagarith) AVI. Very large filesizes

m2v is mpeg2 compression only, and is lossy. m2ts and m2t are just transport streams (containers), there is no indication of quality, and don't necessarily indicate quality inside

50p is better if you started with 50p

50i is better if you started with 50i
