    is there a plug in for the above so it can also accept xvid, divx, & avi movies

    Edit : Sorry, mis-read the post.

    I believe later versions do have an encoder and can encode video to mpeg for authoring. Otherwise Tmpgenc Xpress is what they would like you to buy.

    Any other format must be re-encoded to Divx for it to work.
    do you mean converted to another format when you say re-encoded

  4. TDA from version 3.0 has built-in encoder for AVI, DivX, Windows Media, and Quick Time formats, so it may re-encode source to DVD (MPG2). Earlier versions (1.6 & 2) require external transcoding of the non MPG2 source video before importing/authoring.
