  1. Hello all,

First of all I have to admit that I don't know much about computers or programs. I have to translate a French documentary and I've downloaded the video. I've heard about Subtitle Workshop so I decided to use it to add subtitles. I ran the program today but when I try to add the video, it says "this is not a valid video file." I don't know what the problem is. Should I try another program? If so, which one? The video format is .wmv btw. Could anyone help me out? It really is urgent!

    I would use Subtitle Edit.

  3. ... and though a wmv probably will play I would change Options -> Settings -> Video Player to VLC in Subtitle Edit
