For the last day and a half, all of my attempts to reach VH failed, with no connection completing. Tried different browsers and from different cities in the vicinity -- same results. Some online services told me the site was still up, and with messages still being posted. I'm at a loss to understand what may have been going on, but it looks to have been some local or regional problem at my end. I'm now able to reach the site again, but I did not start doing anything differently. Hopefully, this was just some transitory glitch and won't recur. If I had a much better clue about using Traceroute, perhaps that would have shed some light on this.

A bit of quick research I did online brought up reports of a DNS-altering virus that is supposed to wreak its worst havoc this July. I disregarded that faint possibility, because none of the other many sites I've been visiting have posed any such problem.

I guess I could look this up, but what is the dotted decimal address for VH ? And if there are any alternate URLs for VH, or places where any of its activity is mirrored, I'd like to make note of them now.
When in Las Vegas, don't miss the Pinball Hall of Fame Museum http://www.pinballmuseum.org/ -- with over 150 tables from 6+ decades of this quintessentially American art form.

Were there any common factors - did you use your own laptop in all cases, or different computers?

Net access at different cities would likely mean different ISPs. I don't know why different locations would give the same problem, but I'm not a network specialist.

The IP for videohelp is http://85.17.24.140 but the site won't load unless you access it by domain name.
