looks a stupid question but my first week using a mini dv, what is the difference recording in LP or SP mode, i know you get extra time in LP but in terms of cassette life duration and video quality will this affect my recording ? which mode i should always use ?
thank you

SP every time. DV is compressed heavily as it is, you really don't want to make it worse
