    We have the following:
    Pentium 4cpu 3.06ghx
    Windows Xp Pro
    very capable 22 inch monitor
    AGP 8x

    Can someone recommend a good cheap graphics card that will run
    Photoshop.

  3. Note that I haven't used that card. I just pointed it out as a very cheap card (since you asked for cheap) that should do the job. It rates fairly well at NewEgg and some of the bad reviews were probably inconsequential. One review said the card didn't support high resolutions like 1680x1050 (probably what you'll be using). If you can't get the resolution with the supplied driver, download the latest drivers for the FX 5200 chipset from nvidia's web site.

    I should have mentioned this earlier, you should use a DVI cable if you can. Very cheap cards may have inferior analog VGA output. This will show up as a slight blur or ghosting.

    There should be no problem. We just want to limp along until we can get a better computer. The one we have is over 4 years old. Thanks for the info though.
