I know this may sound redundant... But I'm clueless. All I want is to be able to put a DVD movie in my DVD player and capture certain parts of the movie to edit/use in some other files. I can figure everything else out (like capturing from a DV source, a camera, a DV camcorder, a scanner, an already created movie file, etc.), but for some reason can not accomplish this simple task. And what's worse, I'm so new to this field that all the words and terms are sailing over my head. Can anybody break it down for me? Maybe tell me what software to get? I've got pretty good video editing software on my computer, but it requires an already created movie file to work with - and I'm at the step before that! I have an HP that's pretty "well-endowed", so all I basically need isa kick in the right direction (and in plain English). Any help will be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you much,
Runninghorse
