Hi. I converted an HD wmv file to an avi file (same resolution and frame rate) with virtualdub using xvid video compression. I get video and audio just fine in MPC and VLC, but when I view the video in my NBOX media player I don't get any sound for some reason.

(NBOX media player is an external media player device that connects to your tv and allows u to connect usb hdd and view videos through it.) I've contacted nbox about it and they weren't able to help me.

    The converted avi file specs:

    Video
    Data rate: 3089kbps
    Total Bitrate: 3145kbps
Frame Rate: 29 frames per sec

    Audio
    Bit rate: 56kbps
    Channels: 2 (stereo)
    Audio Sample Rate: 22kHz

What audio codec in the avi? Identify with mediainfo. But try mp3 128kbits 44khz instead.
