    Hello

I use a Tascam DR-40 to record conferences, and have a couple of questions about batteries (it uses three AA's):
    1. Will a set of 2,450mAh batteries last significantly longer than a set of 2,000mAh batteries when recording in 16-bit WAV instead of MP3?
    2. Why do rechargeable batteries use 1,2V tension instead of 1,5V?

    Thank you.

if you can find them get the nimh batteries that are low self discharge while resting. normal rechargeable nimh batts lose up to 5% of their energy everyday. i use sanyo eneloop whenever possible.

different chemistry in the batteries cause varying voltage.
