  1. Hello
Is there any software that I can use to trim video files easily? For example I have a one minute long video and want to 'keep' two sequences from the video, lets say from 00:15 to 0:21 and from 00:43 to 00:57. Is there any software that is able to do this task in a simple way ?

I found a video that tells better what I want: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Y8sNyXpcHg Is this possible in the two video editors you recommended ?

  4. If you're going to use a real NLE (good for you) use a decent one like Sony Vegas Movie Studio. It's less expensive and better engineered than Corel.

    AviUtl (Free)

    or any other commercial NLE:

    Sony Vegas
    Cyberlink Powerdirector
    Adobe Premiere

You can also use Avidemux or Virtualdub, but you may need to output segments of the video first, than re-combine them together.
