  1. I heared a rumor that iFFmpeg, probably the best ffmpeg frontend for OS X, will be ported to Windows.
Anyone has any clue if this is true? Would be great though !

  2. A forum member pointed us about this thread. So we thought it would be appropriate to answer here.

In the 6 year existence of iFFmpeg for Mac OS X we got a lot of requests for porting iFFmpeg to Windows.
We looked into this in the past and it would be doable but we never got any spare time to start coding for Windows.

ATM we are very busy rewritting iFFmpeg 5 from the ground up for Mac OS X. But we already did some early work on a Windows version.
Our intention is to make a similar version 5 (read: same functionality with a Windows-a-like-GUI) for Windows in the near future.

No doubt we will need alpha/beta testers for Windows too. If you feel the need to test the Windows version (when the alpha/beta is available) and have a decent knowledge to do so, you can always drop us a mail at info@iffmpeg.com

Hopes this clarifies some rumours floating around.
