I need to know if it's possible to play back a video in infrared? Or convert a video into an infrared video?

  2. You need to explain more precisely what you mean. My guess is you have some video that was shot with a normal camcorder and want to know exactly what the shot would have looked like if it had been shot with an infra red camera. Then, no, you cannot do that. But if you just want to make it all shades of green, like many IR cameras display, then yes, just remove the blue and red components, or convert to grayscale and remove the blue and red components, or remove the blue and green components (leaving only the red) and convert red to green.

  3. Please be more precise - or we talking about monochrome (grayscale) video or about "color" video?

Theoretically there is no difference betwen IR and visible light with except of length (frequency) of the electromagnetic wave.

IR is when EM length is 740nm or higher.

If You have source of IR similar to visible light sources then You can use same techniques as for normal video signal.
