I have some .AVI files that get thrown out of sync whenever I edit them with a program like Windows Movie Maker or AVS Video Editor. When Open these files in Virtualdub, I get a message saying:
"[!] AVI: Stream 0 (video) has a non-zero start position of 2 samples (+67 ms).
VirtualDub does not currently support a non-zero start time and the stream
will be interpreted as starting from zero."

    What should I do?

  2. Probably just ignore the error. You might have to adjust the audio with VirtualDub's audio skew function. My guess is if you open the AVI file with VirtualDub, select Video -> Direct Stream Copy, maybe set the audio skew, then save as AVI, your other programs will handle the results (assuming that's your goal).
