Is there a popular piece of freeware on the internet that can fix problems with VOB files? Occasionally a file I burn to DVD will freeze up on screen. I'm thinking maybe there might be a simple repair tool out there that can clean my files up? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Does the vob freeze on your computer with a software player?

DVD freezing problems are usually because of crappy dvd media. Try different dvd-r or dvd+r media.

If it's not the media, then try PgcEdit.

The question was asked whether my problem files froze on the screen when played on a computer. I do not know. I will have to try. I never watch video on my computer, always the TV. I mostly have troubles when I accidentally burn my discs at a too high of a speed. My burner can burn up to 16X, but anything above 6X and I start to get the on screen freeze problems.

As to trying a different media, I've always used TDK, and I didn't think you could get much better then that.

Very wrong. Buy Verbatim or genuine Taiyo Yuden and make it a habit of slowing down the burning speed.
