  1. I have some mkv files and i wanted to convert them to mp4,so i did some research and found out i would have to use a MKV splitter,so i downloaded mkvtoolnix. It did work,it exctracted the h264 and the flac file. Then i just had to mux them.I downloaded mp4box,read some guides and i did it.Everything went well, till here.I open the video and the quality is sooooo crappy the colors are messed up there is no audio the video lags and many more...So i think i made a mistake,i search again and i find that there are GUIs for mp4box,first i try mymp4box...nothing same problem except the fact that when i tried to import the audio,it would not recognize it as supported files i then tried YAMP,still the same problem it will not recognize flacs or any other audio format. So i tried other files, with different audio sources,it seems that it works with ogg and acc.But the sync is messed up,however that is not my concern. The video quality with some files is good with some others it is messed up,some have audio but the sync is a mess, others do not even have audio. What is going on here...?

WHY do you think you want MP4? Do you understand that using MP4 will in no way improve the original contents of the MKV? You need to also understand that MKV containers basically have no limits on what they can hold but MP4 is quite restrictive. As you found out, FLAC is not supported. DTS is also not supported.

Your demux and remux problems are definitely odd but if you are doing this conversion because of some misunderstanding or because some friend stupidly told you that "MP4 is better" maybe your real solution is to just leave everything alone.

    Try mkv2mp4.

You could also try convert to an avchd mts/m2ts with something like avchdcoder and try import in vegas.

So,how can i configure it not to change the frame ratio?

Never mind,i installed another program (mymp4boxgui) that has that option and it's all ok,but those converters look pretty neat
