  1. Last week, my Luxor froze while watching a purchased scratch-free DVD. After that, I always get the message "No Disc" when I insert a DVD into it. The funny thing is, that music CD are recognized, and can be played. Have you any ideas on how to reset this DVD completely, as I suspect there is some software malfunction here, that started when the movie froze. DVD players are so cheap nowadays, so the best thing would be to buy a new one, but if any of you might have some magic key combinations handy to use on the remote control, that would solve the matter, I can spend that money elsewhere...

    CD and DVD reading are separate operations and devices. I would first try cleaning the laser lens, but I suspect your DVD laser diode might have died and the CD diode is still functioning.
