I take it that Nero 7 won't work with Windows 7, so what are our options to burn DVD's? Please advise.

    Thank you!

Why do people continue to ask this question over and over again?
ImgBurn ....plain and simple.... ImgBurn is the answer.

FWIW, Prassi ONES works 100% under 64-bit Vista, so I suppose/hope it does the same under Windows 7.

P.S.: Actually, the OS just cannot load the so-called "Fuzzy-Logic" driver, but this is not a show-stopper

Many overlook that W7 has a burner that is quite dependable and works fine for general burning of files and ISOs, etc. I am not sure about dual layer, I have never tried it. If you need more than the basics, Imgburn is definitely the burner of choice.

    Trust Hench on this.
I wouldn't install Nero on anyone's rig even people I hate.

There are a few good free alternatives to nero:

    cdrtfe http://cdrtfe.sourceforge.net/
Burnaware http://www.burnaware.com/ Free and paid version
    InfraRecorder http://infrarecorder.org/
    Cdburnerxp http://cdburnerxp.se/en/home

If it is specific for video dvd i agree with hech54 to use imgburn

Personally i use nero 8 but that is because i paid for it, at the time i didn't know there where good alternatives.

  8. I use ImgBurn mostly. For the odd audio CD I'm using CDBurnerXP. Each successive iteration of Nero is worse than the one before.
    Pull! Bang! Darn!

Thanks all for the repies. I guess by popular rating, Imgburn is the way to go. I can't use CdburnerXP for some reason, as it won't recognize my laptop's internal burner. A real headscratcher there. I have used Burnaware, and it does a decent job, but for some reason, when i choose to verify a burn of a dvd, it gives me errors. Another headscratcher.

    Thanks again!

I change to Nero 10 for windows 7. It works with both internal and external USB burner.
But the free imgburn can do most what Nero 10 do,
