    Hi,

I was trying to watch Color of Night non-anamorphic on my PS3 when I realized it would have black borders all around. I looked through the Display and DVD Upscaling settings, and also the Triangle menu during playback. I also tried my Samsung LNT-4665F in 16:9 mode (still didn't fill) and zoom (stretched it too much). I gave up and played it on my Macbook with VLC Player with the 16:9 crop option.

Is there a way to fill up my screen with non-anamorphic DVDs in the future?

The only way to make them fill up your screen is actually make it anamorphic. Sorry if I'm late to the topic.

  3. That movie was released as 1.85:1 aspect ratio. There may be small letterbox bars remaining. Is that what you mean by did not fill? The zoom control on your TV in 4:3 mode should be all you need.
