shoot HDV 25p. encode to .mp4 - h264 with aac audio at 1280x720 25p with a bitrate around 6mbps. large files but you can upload up to 1 GB and youtube will create HQ and HD videos from it.

it is hd on youtube... but if i shoot in 25p the slo mo become bad.. i shoot in 50 i...
