SonyBDP S6200 Audio Playback help

I am trying to playback Audio files through my AV system using my SonyBDP S6200, The specs say that it can payback FLAC format, However I have extracted a CD in FLAC format, but it wont play them.
The problem may be what parameters I had the software settings set on.

The settings I used were labelled DVD Quality , 768 Kbps , 48000Hz and 16bit. Whereas the CD quality is the same except 44100Hz sample rate, could this be the problem.

Im a total lamen on audio formats, so you help is much appreciated.

My first guess would be to lose the 48000 audio and just use normal 44.1.
