I was using PowerDVD which gave information on wether a DVD loaded from my hard-drive was PAL or NTSC. I uninstalled PowerDVD and now I'm using VLC Media Player but when I load a DVD from my hard-drive, VLC Media Player doesn't give additional info on wether the DVD is PAL or NTSC.

Is there any simple software/program where i could load an entire DVD or at least a vob file from my hard-drive that'll give me this info?

The free Teco Bitrate Viewer (http://www.tecoltd.com) can do this. Get the free one, not the commercial one. If the resolution of the VOB ends in 576 or 288 it's PAL. If it ends in 240 or 480 it's NTSC. For example, if it reports the video as being 720x480, then you have NTSC.

Frame rates also give it away. 24 (or 23.97) fps and 29.97 fps are NTSC. 25 fps is PAL.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who posted. I've tried each program suggested and found one I like but will keep the others for tasks that I may have. Thanks again for being so helpful!
