Im using Maxell dvd-r 8x on a JVC DRM 70 Recorder. After im done with the disk there is a small line in the disk, that almost looks like a leak. Its not an external mark, its definitly in the disc, and its consistent from disk to disk. Any ideas what this is or if its a problem?

Is it a radial or circumference line? A radial could be signs of trouble whereas a circumference line is typical of a speed change in the burn where one side of the line is darker than the other side.

radial line, about 2 centemeteres, it could be due to when i use the time recording on my recorder, where i set it to record for 3 hours and then stop, another recording i just made didnt have it. It could also be from leaving the disc in the recorder for extended periods of time, but the machine turns itself off when its done recording.

One disk that i noticed where it had this line didnt play very well, re did the disc and it plays fine, along with others.
