What graphics card would you suggest for a non gamer preferably with GDDR5 memory and supporting PCI Express 3? I do not really want a huge and noisy card occupying a lot of space (and slots) inside the computer case as I do not need it.

Most of the recent video cards occupy 2 expansion slots, but some are 15 cm in length, not gigantic power-sucking monsters. Would one of the small two slot card be acceptable?
This is an example with of the newest GPUs. It has good 4K support and hardware decodes HEVC.

Many CPUs have integrated GPU nowadays. Why do you want an extra GPU and with GDDR5 and PCIe 3, specifically?

To much what? The model I posted is a mid-priced card. It can be purchased for about $115 here in the US. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487295
If you need something significantly less expensive, then what is the most that you are willing to spend?Ignore list: hello_hello, tried, TechLord, Snoopy329 -
If you think the 1050 is too much, then I don't think you are going to find many cards below that with GDDR5. This was the best I could find https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KYCTCZ8/ref=twister_B00WR9NDC4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 Which is bit faster than my old ATI 4670 from 2008, which I replaced with a RX 460. You seem to take massive performance hit if you want to go below the GTX 1050 or the RX 460 price range.
Can go with the RX 460 but the onboard HEVC encoder chip has no official software support from AMD via SDK. Can do 8-10bit 4:2:0 HEVC decoding, and eventually VP9. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202228&cm_re=rx_460-_-14-202-228-_-Product -
To do anything requiring graphics power.
Similar cards here are too expensive as for example ASUS GTX1050 EX-GTX1050-2G which is around 200 euro.
Least expensive with GDDR5 I could find is GIGABYTE GT730 GV-N730D5OC-1GI around 70 euro and GIGABYTE GT730 GV-N730D5-2GI around 80 euro but both PCIe 2. -
gtx 750 ti has one slot versions and is very low power. Would be good if you can find around 100 euro
example but too expensive:

And again, what are you doing that is "requiring graphics power"?
Aside from gaming, there isn't much done on a PC that actually requires much graphics power. Knowing exactly what you are doing would help in selecting hardware which would suit your needs.
Honestly, based on what you've stated so far, it doesn't sound like you are currently doing anything which requires an updated graphics card. If you aren't having any issues with your current card, save your money and/or spend it on something which will actually have an impact on your current activities.Google is your Friend
