How do I convert layered WMV files to another format?
When I open these files in Windows Media Player they are a couple hours long. When I open them in Quicktime using Flip4Mac, they are an hour long.
How do I convert these files to retain the length?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

What do you mean by "layered"?
Do you mean files that are, in effect, playlists? (aggregates of segments)
Have you tried WME (using load, export to DV-AVI, then convert elsewhere to format of choice)?
Might be much more difficult if you're using a Mac, though...

They may not be layered. But they are full length when played in Windows Media Player and half length in Quicktime. When exported in Quicktime, it only recognizes the half length.
What Mac utility is there to export the full-length video to a different format?
(WME is a Windows product and I am on a Mac, which is why I'm in the Mac forum.)
