Virtualdub cam view it in the "audio-->compressor"

but seems to me seeing only 8kbs in the list

According to my standard mp4 ffmpeg encoding: I need a VFW audio codec that can do the same quality of the

    -c:a libvo_aacenc -b 256k
    comandline of ffmpeg

So I wonder: where I can find an aaC good codec, or an equivalent that is "viewved" as codec fully configurable also in my NLE as Virtualdub? thanks

  2. AACACM is actually not an encoder, decoder only. Try it in vdub , it won't encode AAC

  3. ok but can I find an alternative vfw audio codec? I need to set a decent audio codec vfw because the mp4 encoding from timeline, directly to the NLE allow me avoiding the uncompressed-export --> virtuadlub ---> final encoding procedure

I'm not very expert but I remember there are some audio codec vfw installable in windows, do you know one or two? thanks

There is no such thing as "VfW audio", you meant *ACM codec*

Regarding AAC, no, I'm not aware of any AAC encoder which could be used *directly* by VirtualDub.

FWIW, "MPEG-1 Audio" (that is, mp1, mp2 and mp3) is officially supported by the MP4 container.

  10. NeroAAC is neither Directshow or VFW, it's a CLI encoder that accepts stdin, or pcm wav

In VirtualDub, menu "Audio", item "Full processing mode", then "Compression".

but strangely I cannot see it on my NLE: I need to use the VFW codec under my NLE because I need to export in MP4 entire timeline directly from Speed Razor.
I'm looking for anhother audio codec.
