  1. I have a Panasonic hdTv from 2007 ...... the aespect ratio button went out....Does anyone know if the newer and much cheaper Panasonic TV remotes work in setting the aespect picture ratio on my TV? Anyone with any experience, your feedback is appreciated.
Also, why do all the big box stores sell universal remotes that have no aespect ratio button on them? People do not care about distorted video?

Probably because those buttons aren't part of the universal "code" list but model specific.

Most universal remotes have programmable buttons but you need a working manufacturer remote to program them. Universal Remotes have 800 number tech support. Maybe they have a solution.
