HI,
I am looking for a filter (e.g. avisynth) to get rid of that nasty beating. This happened when I digitized my old super 8mm films by projecting to the wall and recording with a SD DV camera.
The beating is between the projection frequency (maybe 18fps) and the 25fps of the PAL DV camera.
To make the things worse apparently at some point I increased the projection freq. so that the beating is not the same throughout the full movie (which is about 30 min).
The quality of the originals is poor as you will see, but that was the (consumer) technology 20 years ago.
All I want at this point is to find something to get rid of the blinking.
And here is a very short (but enough) clip to demonstrate the defect.

Donald Graft's Deflicker 1.3b1 for VirtualDub worked fairly well with your source.
