I'm trying to find something my Mac students can use to send me video recordings (I have a PC). My wife told me about mailVU.com, which seems to work pretty well but it limits me to 10 minutes. It is free and easier to use than YouTube. Is there any other free service out there for recording on Macs for more than 10 minutes, and can be emailed to me? I'm trying to avoid the file attachment/upload issues and prefer a video mailing type approach.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

I know you mentioned mailVU being easier than YouTube, but I would recommend using YouTUbe or Blip.tv. It isn't difficult to use and I am sure most of these kids know exactly how to use YouTube like an expert

You could have them upload to a service like MediaFire and email you the download link. I think the file size can be up to 200MB, sufficient for 640x480 resolution at a decent bitrate for maybe 30 minutes.

Dropbox.com may suit your needs. You can set it up so that if any of your Mac students drops a video into a folder on their desktop, the video pops up in a folder on your own PC desktop. It's free for up to 2Gb.
