    hi.
i tried reading some posts but i cant find any answers...

i have a h264 file (i rename it to 264) , use avc2avi , enter the fps value , and the final avi file is like corrupted. windows media player wont play it, vlc displays an error message "file is broken" ... i tried to repair it with vlc, but this is temporal, and... the avi file seems to have frame problems, its no smooth like the original one...

any ideas to fix this problem?

    thanks!

  2. where was the file from originally?

I would put it in .mkv or .mp4 container, because b-frames can cause corrupted playback and sync issues in .avi container

the original is a mkv... avc and dts

    i did this:
    1. convert with popcorn the dts to ac3 (cant use it in my dvd player althout it can play dts...) with ac3 the movies work also.
    2. Mkvextract GUI to extract the h264.
    3. rename the h264 to 264 for avc2avi...

strange . i did this once a few weeks ago and it worked ok...
