Hi guys I got some problems ripping dvd's PAL sistem:
the final format on the rip dvd is different than original:
Following the guide for dummies (yes i'm...) i'm using DVDDECRYPER, DVD2AVI TMPGENC, CHAPTERXTRACT, DVDMAESTRO AND GEARDVD 6.03
here some settings:
after dvddecrypet i'm opening DVD2AVI the format is 720x576
pressing F5 i get the info, 16:9.
tmpgenc settings for PAL
going ahed, using dvd maestro importing asset, compiling the movie and buring with gear6 i have my dvd5. here the result:
Original DVD movie on my sony 16:9
Rip DVD movie on my sony 16:9 (look bit like a zoom)
Original DVD movie on my old mivar 4:3 (with the correct black borders)
Rip DVD movie on my old mivar 4:3 (you see? is total zoom out!!!)
why the aspect ratio in NOT RESPECTED???
all the movie is stretching out, It look ridicoulos
what i'm doing wrong?

Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

In the mpeg setting window under video tab, set the aspect ratio to 4:3. In the advanced tab keep it 16:9. This should solve your problem.
